Half amazing, half disappointing
The welcome was fantastic—Devon scones and cream greeted us, along with a cozy room that's spotlessly clean and peaceful. The breakfast was beautifully presented, leaving no room for complaints!
Unfortunately, the limited bar hours were a letdown. the mattresses were quite firm, which impacted our comfort during the stay.

Welcoming hosts provided a personal touch upon arrival.
Our room had scaffolding outside the window, which really compromised the otherwise nice view. We also found that the bar had limited hours as we had hoped to enjoy a local ale after our day out. while the complimentary Devon scones were a nice touch, they didn't make up for the inconveniences we faced during our stay.

A charming welcome awaits you
Upon arrival, we were greeted with delicious Devon scones and a warm personal touch from Jane. The breakfast was lovely, with plenty of choices to start the day right.
The only downside was the slightly firm mattress, which didn’t quite suit my personal preference. the bar’s limited hours might disappoint those wanting a late-night drink.

I had a lovely stay at The Sandrock. The breakfast choices were outstanding, with cereals, pastries, and a superb cooked option. Room 4 felt cozy with a comfortable memory foam mattress. The en suite was spacious and very clean, with fluffy towels. I especially loved the extra touches in the room that made it feel homely. The host Jane greeted me warmly and made me feel welcome. Dining in the restaurant was a highlight. the pork belly for dinner was a generous portion and delicious. Though the bar had limited hours, drinks were reasonably priced. One downside was scaffolding outside my window, which slightly obstructed the view of the lovely garden. it was an enjoyable stay with just a couple of minor drawbacks. I'd return for sure!
